while i've always been a fan of jason wu's designs, i was a bit bored with his fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection. don't get me wrong. it's still beautiful, but not nothing really wowed me. i'm not sure why, but the gold floor-length gown reminds me of jenny packham's starburst dress. yes, the one that leighton meester wore in gossip girl recently. sadly, the jason wu gown pales in comparison.
on a completely unrelated note: as of today, i have been happily married to john for three whole years! he's on deployment, so we usually stay in contact via e-mail. but since today is so special, he was able to phone me! it was the first time in over two months that i was able to hear his sweet little voice. what a nice surprise.
